My english teacher wants to be able to see document history. He says that my process is more important than the product. Is there any way to do this in libreoffice or some other open source document editor?

Okay, so the question is, if you enable tracking changes (seems the easier solution?) in LibreOffice, will that transfer if he opens the file in Google Docs or Word?

I don't have an answer, I'm not up to date on how G and M$ mess up open file formats. But maybe this is an avenue to explore.
