My english teacher wants to be able to see document history. He says that my process is more important than the product. Is there any way to do this in libreoffice or some other open source document editor?

My idealistic brain says that if he's a teacher and wants you to learn stuff nonstop, he can put in the effort to learn git. But my realistic brain says that teachers are often hypocritical assholes with too much power
