[Recommendation request] I feel very out of place on this sub with all the really cool watches. But I really need some suggestions on a watch to gift my Fiancé. Budget about 200-300$ or lesser. (alien.top)

He would like something all black with a strap. I mainly need suggestions for brands that I can look into that would have a good watches in this range. I’d prefer something that has name value also I guess? And I’m kind of a noob and don’t really know much. Pls help! Thankyouu

Let's be realistic.

Watches are expensive, luxury items, and as a watch sub if your budget is under $300 you will naturally feel out of place.

Generally watch tiers are: under $1000 is budget, $1000 to $5000 is affordable and over $5000 is luxury.

Given Western salaries, and the fact the a watch hobby is generally a middle class to upper class hobby this is where consideration of good / good value / luxury and above is based.

Under $300 will tell the time and could (AliExpress originals etc.) be a "good" watch, but in terms of a watch enthusiasts sub will be meh
