If she was 16, in Oklahoma, it was legal. The most that can be done is a restraining order being placed on him by the parents. She’d be 17 now, most likely, so this would’ve had to been last year for it to be legal. If she was under that, then it’s statutory rape, second degree rape and level three sex offense making you a lifetime sex offender, and he’s going to lose his entire NBA career over it. If the allegations are true and she was 16 the best case scenario is he’ll lose a ton of fans and be seen as a chomo - better have a decent security detail. If they’re true and she’s under 16, then like I said before he better bet on going back to Australia after he serves his time and wait a decade or so before trying pro ball there. Even if none of it is true he’s lost face in the public eye for even putting himself in this position and talking to a girl that young. It’s a really dumb move by him especially with the online presence he has or rather had. People would do anything to be in his position and he pisses it away over some tail when he could have almost any legal single girl he wants in Oklahoma.

I will say before we judge, I’ve an anecdote that’s probably not that uncommon. Had this girl tell me she was 17 about to turn 18, when I was 18 - only to later find out that she was 14 through her sister. I’d not known had my brother not worked with her sister. Luckily I didn’t do anything with her as I’ve a long standing rule I don’t kiss or anything first date. She said, “well we can just be friends”. To which I told her I was molested as a kid and that she is still a kid. If she’s going to be promiscuous under aged it won’t be with me and I’ve no interest in being friends with a middle schooler. You’d never known she was that young by looks alone. This girl looks younger than she did from the photos I’ve seen. So he might not have that excuse of her lying about her age.
