There are so many die-hard Toyota fans that it is literally impossible for them to be too late. Me included. I have a Hyundai Inster only because in my region it was the best EV for the money I could get (almost non-existant used EV market), and because I had to get an EV in compliance with my values. But unless something drastically changes for the worse in terms of reliability for Toyota I am 100% buying a Toyota EV as my next car.

EDIT: I should add, my Inster after 7k km and 7-8 months has already had a failure of something called a Three-Way Valve, related to the cooling system. It was all covered by warranty but was in the shop for 2 weeks. I like the car but if it will keep the same frequency of issues it's not a very reliable car.

There was actually a recall for the Inster over that issue. I don't think it's a reliability thing so much as just choosing the wrong part for the job in manufacturing. I wouldn't expect that sort of thing to happen again.

I was in an Inster recently. They're surprisingly roomy.
