Your employer needs to fill in a CA3821 and at the same time you need to fill in a CA3822. Wait patiently then after about 14 weeks you'll get an A1
And with that, do you only pay regular tax in the UK (national insurance, income tax) or do you also pay an additional tax in Spain? I was under the impression that I wouldn't pay anymore tax in Spain (on the first €600k) unless I did some work for Spanish companies or freelancing whilst there
The A1 is basically a declaration you are liable to pay national insurance in the UK even if loving in Spain.
You will need to pay income tax in Spain once you become tax resident. Income tax is a bit higher in Spain. There's a dual taxation agreement so you won't pay tax twice
