Honestly, its a toss up. I haven't auditioned either of them but from many reviews it sounds like the 650 may be a touch more of what I'm looking for, but the 6xx reviews seemed to be more scattered saying they're 600s basically or 650s. I'm certain I'd like either tbh, but the sale price for the 650 was nice and I feel like I see the 6xx nicely priced more often, so if I don't like the 650 I can return them and probably still be able to catch a good sale on 6xx

The 6XX is the 650 with a different color. Up to you if paying +$150 for that glossy cobalt color is worth it.

Thanks for confirming it is in fact the 650. New to this and as I mentioned the reviews I had read were not all in agreement regarding which it was. 30 day return policy so not a big deal to send it back when it arrives

Reviews on audio gear (like many hobbies) are unnecessarily granular and exaggerated.
