Funnily enough, the two times I've been to Estonia as a Chinese American, I've never been asked like that. Everyone who's asked has pretty much accepted the response of "I'm American".
I mean it’s really easy to tell if you’re Chinese American vs Chinese. Coming from a Korean American lol. Now a red blooded white liberal in sf or nyc would want your ancestors background to a T whilst the country bumpkins would assume we’re all the same
