I find it weird how it bothers people so much that Gavi is shown a lot of support

Because it's excessive and dramatic. He didn't die, he will come back and play.

Other footballers get season ending injuries all the time and no other team actually prints it on their shirt.

They simply walked out with a shirt that had a message printed for Gavi before the match, they’re not actually playing with it. It’s pretty standard for Barcelona to walk out with messages to players on shirts that get long term injuries.

? It is fairly common, at least in Spain, to come out with shirts showing support to long-term injured players before a game. So clearly other teams do it and you are clueless.
