Any suggestions for <$250 dress watch to go with a blue suit (this color, or therabouts) for my wedding? I imagine a blue dial would be nice, but I'm worried about having the watch be one or two shades off from the suit--I guess that's a fashion faux paus?

I tend to like simpler/Bauhaus-adjacent styles (e.g. Nomos/Sternglas), but could also be playful in terms of dial face. For example, I loved the Asterisk National Park watches (I spend a lot of time outdoors) and would've pulled the trigger on one if they'd had a park I was more connected to. Another brand I like the look of is NordGreen, but they seem pretty pricy for quartz.

I'd prefer automatic, but I imagine that's a pipe dream given my price range for my wedding?

Anyways, looking forward to hearing from y'all and seeing watches that you like! I'm also down to learn about/see watches you love even if they don't fit into my price range. What did you wear for your wedding?

Citizen AR3010-65A (36mm).

Thanks! This is honestly the one I'm leaning toward (so many great recs on this post). I'm thinking maybe throwing a brown strap on it, although I haven't found many example pics of that--hopefully it's easy to do and would look good, lol.

Now the hard part--finding one to buy. Looks like it's out of stock almost everywhere, and I can understand why!

Please don't change the original bracelet, and certainly not with a generic, non Citozen, brown strap (you are going to wear black shoes and black belt, aren't you?). Moreover the watch has male end links, therefore it won't be easy to find a suitable strap. I understand that the steel bracelet is not 100% formal but the watch is ultra thin so it's dressy enough for your needs.

Thanks for the info/feedback! Unfortunately my fiancee really dislikes metal bracelets (I don't love them, but don't mind them), so I don't think I'd wear one, even putting formality aside (the wedding is a morning garden wedding, so I'm not too concerned about it being super formal anyways).

Given your take on this watch with a leather bracelet, I think it's time for me to hit up the drawing board again (which might've been necessary anyways, given that it's out of stock most places). In any case, I really appreciate your suggestion--I immediately loved that watch, which is pretty amazing given its price range. You really know your watches!
