Home automation is the residential extension of building automation.

It is automation of the home, housework or household activity.

Home automation may include centralized control of lighting, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), appliances, security locks of gates and doors and other systems, to provide improved convenience, comfort, energy efficiency and security.

Hey all!

I was hoping to set up a system in my house where the lights in different rooms turn on and off after a certain period of time to make it look like someone is home.

Devices I have - multiple Google Homes and Alexas. Pixie smart light switches for down lights.

I've worked out how to make a loop in Google Assistant by setting the command to trigger itself, but I can't work out how to make it stop overnight.

Ideally it'd play some music during the day as well (but not from Spotify because then I can't use that elsewhere)

I'm in Australia if it's relevant. Any advice would be amazing!

Give it a try next time. It's pretty easy.
