I don't need to list of bunch of past players with questionable events in their past, but if you got NBA skills, that trumps a scandal... Hell you can even become a universally loved hall of famer who gets endless tributes, despite likely having some pretty shitty events in your past..

He's still a kid, used bad judgement, will pay for it lawfuly if neccessary, and go on to play NBA and become whatever he can make of his potential, and the greater he plays, the less anyone will care about his past. If he becomes GOAT like, we'll just pretend it didn't even happen.
