I'll go with a role player, Javale McGee. I remember watching this dude as a first and second year player. He had all the tools but was dumb as rocks. I figured he would be out the league after his rookie contract. But props to him, he embraced being a role player and has been playing for like 15 years. So many players can't get over not being the star and wash out.
The Warriors really revitalized his career.
Honestly when he got to Denver right after the wizards he was trying really hard to change his reputation. He still made boneheaded plays, but I remember they used to have to sub him out cause of his asthma and he was hustling too hard. Dude just didn't have the coaching he needed earlier with the wizards
That year Javale made the playoffs with the Nuggets and Swaggy P made the playoffs with the Clippers. They both played meaningful minutes.
