I’m glad the refs are cracking down on hanging on rims and not carrying balls or foul baiting, etc.

Same! These players hanging on the rim are ruining the game! Ruining it!

kinda does mess up the game. the rims are made of normal material. They aren't invincible to bending or breaking. It's not just the showboating thing. You can f up the rim. Shaq famously shattered backboards without meaning to do so
