Sorry for asking but I am thinking about buying the 61wh battery for my upcoming FW 13 Ryzen.

The only problem: i don’t like the idea of having a brand new battery lying around for nothing. Seems a little bit of „waste“.

Furthermore, it does not say in the product page but I CAN put the bigger battery into the smaller ryzen?

Shame there is no possibility to upgrade to the bigger battery on the smaller Ryzen, but Framework has already explained why and it's a good reason.

Reasons why I don't think there will be a case for extra battery cases useable as external batteries: Before buying an extra battery for that reason, just get a ginormous usb-c power bank for 1/5 the cost. The user base of a battery case will probably be in the hundreds, not more... and it's not just the case, theere needs to be a pcb with appropriate charging electronics, too.
