Our society really has fully embraced the whole innocent-before-guilty principle, haven't they.

Sure have. If he’s guilty I hope he’s punished, but it’s a little scary seeing people froth at the mouth at accusations and hope they are true. I wonder how these same people would feel if everyone assumed they were guilty before being convicted as well.
