The NBA has a "in season" tournament now? Is this new or has it been here a while? What happens if a team wins? Do they advance somewhere? And what are they playing for? Some type of new tournament trophy or something?

Apologies for my lack of knowledge bc basketball has changed so---- much, I hardly recognize it and haven't watched it in a few years
