Back in May, I ordered an A-11 Vince Speranza with the Soprod movement back which is supposed to have an accuracy rating of about +-7 seconds a day. Roughly a few weeks into owning the watch and casually wearing it, it started running fast well outside the stated range. I contacted Praesidus support in late June then again in mid-July but didn’t hear anything back, then again in early August and finally got a response. After going back and forth a few times (which took a few weeks since the response time was spotty at best) I was finally able to send the watch in for a warranty repair. After waiting another month, I got the watch back last week. I just unpacked it and tested it, it’s running 24 seconds fast per day. That’s significantly outside the stated range of plus/minus 7 seconds a day for the Soprod movement. Very very disappointing. Roughly five months of not having a working watch only to have it “repaired” but it’s still broken. Honestly, I just want a new watch or even better to return my watch for a full refund.

Avoid Praesidus. Beautiful watches with a cool brand ethos but terrible QC and warranty. Wish I never purchased it.

Hello there - I'm Oscar Chabrat, the Brand Director for Praesidus Watch Co. I would love to have more information on how something like this could have happened. Indeed, we simply don't ship anything from Hong Kong or China - did you receive a sample?

And yes, we do assemble everything in our warehouse in Allentown, PA - and everything gets shipped from there.

I am genuinely curious as to what happened to your order so that you feel that way - about the duties; I'm guessing you live outside the USA?

Looking forward to your reply,
Oscar
