Waffle House isn’t fast food.

I’ve known several people who worked at Waffle House . They didn’t pay crap and the work actually difficult.

I couldn’t be a cook there. They call out the order and you have to cook it and remember everything going on. It’s also very fast paced.

The witnesses are often handling 1/2 to 1/3 the restaurant.

Waffle House is also very cheap. I have no idea what they pay now but previously it was garbage. They need to raise prices and most likely pay better.

The witnesses

Well at least some are always available.

Everywhere else I've seen do this barely gets any business now. There's 3 taco bells near me and they never have a line any more because it's expensive AF. I doubt it has anything to do with wages but everywhere else has been using pay raises to justify doubling or tripling prices. I'm not saying food workers shouldn't be making better pay, but prices are getting ridiculous.

I am not sure if you are familiar with Waffle House but they are damn cheap. They are also high volume. They could raise their prices a dollar per plate and i doubt anyone would notice.

I got a cheeseburger, a drink and hashbrowns with onions and cheese. With a large tip in was 16 dollars. That is really cheap.I think I left a 5 dollars tip

eta: I normally tip 20% but I have soft spot for a waffle house waitress. They are just so damn hard working and the check is so small, I always over tip.
