You're right bottles and cans. Basically, what we've learned from old stuff that's been dug up is that glass and some metals can stick around for a really long time, much longer than things like newspapers and magazines. Paper usually falls apart pretty fast, but glass and metal can hang around for hundreds of years. This just shows how important it is to recycle and take care of our trash properly, so we don't end up with a bunch of it lasting forever in the environment.
