In the Philippines we have a stereotype for americans, we call them AFAM. And whenever we see an AFAM with a filipina, we say “isang pinay nanaman ang nakaangat sa buhay” (another filipina is brought up from poverty”. Obviously we don’t say that to every situation, but it’s obvious which couples are like this.
