I have been collecting some old vintage digital watches like Casio C-801, Seiko UC-3000, … and was wondering, besides the fun of wearing them and the good looks, if they are a good investment? Because over time their circuits get corroded, their LCD fades/ burns, battery runs out, … And to my knowledge, some problems are unfixable. This in comparison with a analog/ mechanical watch which stay fixable over time.

What are some tips to preserve them?

Very few watches are really a “good investment” so just buy what you enjoy and maybe a spare or two to scrap for parts if you need to.
