The pink wave has yet to crest, the 'Barbie' movie has sold more than a billion dollars worth of tickets at the global box office, after just 17 days on general release. The milestone makes #GretaGerwig the first woman to reach the such heights as a solo director.

I went into this movie not knowing what to expect. Honestly, I mostly went because my girlfriend wanted to see it.

I was pleasantly surprised. The movie is hilarious, well-acted, clever, and surprisingly touching. Also, the soundtrack has absolutely no business being as good as it is.

The poster sold me. The quote on it, "Barbie is everything. He's just Ken." I knew exactly what I was getting into then and it was going to be excellent.

Me and my buddies went because we couldn't get tickets to Oppenheimer right away. "Barbie smashes the patriarchy" was not on my summer movie bingo card, but I'll take it! Ending was a little strange though

It was fun, but I did not get what the movie was trying to say

It's that we all belong and should be working together.

Well she grew as a person and changed and that's also okay.
