“BD” refers to Franco-Belgian comics, but let's open things up to include ALL Euro comics and GN's. Euro-style work from around the world is also welcome!

I read it as a kid and at that time I read everything in German.

Did you try re-watching your favorite TV shows in french, with french subtitles on? That way you have the advantage of already knowing the plot and dialogues in englisch and you can pause and google whenever a word that you don´t know comes up. It's how I got good at English while watching The Simpsons, maybe it works for you too.

This is great advice, and I don't do it as often as I should. It really is amazing how well that can work..

I love the Simpsons, and I salute your method of learning, but the fact is this-- you're not just a nice guy, but you're DAMN intelligent. Don't try this at home, kids!
