~~I've been switching between Jerboa and Liftoff, and now you've had this issue, I've downloaded Voyager. When I click on !canvas@toast.ooo in either of the three, the community opens within the app I'm using. Bug maybe? In Voyager, try searching
canvas@toast.ooo
I managed to get to it that way. Hope it helps for now ^.^~~
Edit: NVM, I misunderstood instructions! I think they didn't mean to just sub to the community, but we actually need to use a chat-style app (the matrix space?). Not lemmy?
Haven't had this happen with Sync though. I guess proprietary ad-supported clients have the budget to make QoL improvements faster. Although, I do love Voyager as well!
