all cowards love punching down.. it's what they live for.. their hands go all clammy when they see someone bigger.. so they try their best to ingratiate themselves to the big, scary people.. lick their boots, that kind of thing..

satirists punch at powerful people all the time.. the powerful people generally think satirists are all assholes..

You mean individuals or corporate entities or political parties? Satire in that regard is weaponised, it doesn't - or shouldn't - go for all comedy, where 'punching' isn't the goal. Unlike this thing which is just a big 'fuck off' dressed up as a stand-up show.
