By using this additional funding ineffectively. CBC receives taxpayer funds via a budgeting process that takes into account costs and revenues. The money they already receive should be enough for operations if the organization is managed effectively. There's entire departments of accountants (more recently, herds of overpaid consultants) employed by the government to make those judgments. Because the CBC's leadership spent that bailout money ineffectively, taxpayers must suffer through this charade in which our federal government publicly embarrasses itself at our expense.
