There are dozens of off-brand derivative cookies in the grocery store, should they be limited to offering only brand name?

I don't think the poster is saying that we shouldn't make these games, just that there's a ton of competition.

Never said people shouldn't make a derivative game. Do you want to? Be my guest, just don't be surprised if your game only sold a handful of copies.
