A shame to see Millie go so soon, I loved her in the Christmas special. Hopefully everything is fine behind the scenes and it's not a repeat of season 1's production

Well, in comparison to Moffat and Chibnal, Davies did mix things up a lot, apart from the Doctor I suppose.

Rose + 9: 1 season (blame here depends on who you ask)
Rose + 10: 1 season
Martha: 1 season
Donna: 1 season

Even Moffat had Bill as a single-season companion, Chibnall had Dan, who was basically only in "Flux".
