Oh shoosh you, go back to your StarWar and let people enjoy things.
I mean I was half trolling but also half asking a genuine question. Why do people care so much about Ghost Busters? It was a good movie with a decent sequel 40 years ago, but now we keep getting a mediocre new entry every few years because of Gen X nostalgia bait and a Hollywood that is afraid to take risks and has run out of ideas. The hype always seems so forced.
Because some people do. That's not me being dismissive or snarky, that's the exact reason. Because some people do.
Well, yeah. There's a marketing campaign that production companies are pushing for to increase the ROI from greenlighting a film that can't be too original or else its going to be too risky of an investment.
