My name is Commander Shepard and this is my favorite Mass Effect community on the citadel.
Rules & Regs:
- Don't be a dick, unless it's a really spicy renegade interrupt. But even then, seriously, don't be a dick.
- Memes are great - seriously, I need more Mass Effect sh!tposting in my life.
- This is a welcoming community for all stripes, let's just remember there's people on the other side of the screen and act accordingly.
- If you're here, you gotta post. Thems the breaks, kid.
Other stuff:
- I hope to welcome all Rexxitors from r/masseffect, though this is not in any official way associated with them. Still, they're great, and Mass Effect is great, so I hope all Reddit orphans can find a cozy place here to talk about whether or not Leviathan of Dis is going to pull some shady ish.

I never got the vanguard play style personally as I always would get killed before I could kill all of them, found the combat too janky on ME original trilogy. Andromeda was better cos of jetpacks and being able to zip about a bit easier.
Probably just needed to invest more time in it!
It's all about combat rhythm (and upgrading charge to fully refill your shields on contact.)
ME1 Vanguard is exactly how you'd expect the combat biotic crossover to go, plenty of supporting biotics to mix in with weapons gameplay. In 2 they introduced the charge and the gameplay loop completely changed into a super powered pinball, and in 3 furthered the concept by stripping it down to pure biotic superhero gameplay with the weight/cooldown and nova.
No other class changes so much throughout the trilogy in terms of how you play it.
All this being said, I believe in power duo Sentinel supremacy so I like Femshep/Kaiden as a combo lol
