Hell yeah! Cop training is a non-stop indoctrination of fearing death around every corner, and preempting that presumed danger with deadly force, when 99% of the time there is no danger.
This has had the side effect of making cops almost completely unwilling to actually engage larger groups of armed individuals, which groups like Elm Fork John Brown Gun Club (and other JBGCs) and Don't Comply use to their advantage.
As well as being unwilling to engage a lone gunman murdering children in school.
Uvalde cops: "I don't get paid for this..."
Wait a second...
Then please explain what my state (Louisiana) is doing here. What your saying is absolute common sense to me, but somehow the pro-police right thinks that legalizing a gun carried anywhere on a body, even tucked, of any providence, will somehow make law enforcement able to perform their job.
Because thanks to decades of anti-firearm legislation and rhetoric from the Democrats, and the very real social taboo around them in (neo)liberal spaces as a consequence, the Right knows that most gun owners are Right-wingers. They don't want to disarm everyone, just non-white people and non-conservatives.
It being legal for minorities to carry guns won't stop cops from shooting them (if anything, it just gives police another "excuse" to shoot them), so really the "constitutional carry" laws in Red states only apply to white people.
