I don't know how they are for longevity, but I'm extremely pleased with the two Shark vacuums we own. We own a bed and breakfast so they get out to heavy use.
I remember my mom always getting Sharks, but they seemed to always fail after a couple of years.
bagless is a non starter for me at this point. Im tired of the stuff i just vacuumed going airborne when I go to empty the thing out. I heard that repairability for sharks to be basically bottom of the barrel since they keep coming out with new models and stop supporting old models.
