My name is Commander Shepard and this is my favorite Mass Effect community on the citadel.
Rules & Regs:
- Don't be a dick, unless it's a really spicy renegade interrupt. But even then, seriously, don't be a dick.
- Memes are great - seriously, I need more Mass Effect sh!tposting in my life.
- This is a welcoming community for all stripes, let's just remember there's people on the other side of the screen and act accordingly.
- If you're here, you gotta post. Thems the breaks, kid.
Other stuff:
- I hope to welcome all Rexxitors from r/masseffect, though this is not in any official way associated with them. Still, they're great, and Mass Effect is great, so I hope all Reddit orphans can find a cozy place here to talk about whether or not Leviathan of Dis is going to pull some shady ish.

What's wrong with Garrus going vigilante? Omega has no law, he's as "justified" in killing "mercenaries" as they are slinging red sand and selling weapons.
Nothing, really. I guess it depends on the ethics the Shepard you're RPing as has.
You could argue that all the killing Shepard does is justified (at least in the first game) in that you're killing in the name of the Alliance, but apart from that, the killing isn't really that different from what Garrus is doing as a vigilante.
It's hypocrisy no matter what in my opinion, Shepard is a Spectre in ME1 and their investigation is as a Spectre not an Alliance mission. Plus even a Paragon does plenty of taking the law into their own hands constantly.
What is and isn't justified is up to Shepard, which means it's no different except that Shepard is "allowed" because he's a Spectre and Garrus is allowed because he has the power to do so in a location with no written laws.
I wasn't arguing against your point - I was agreeing with you. Sorry if that came off wrong.
