However musk doesn't have the same sound which makes some bizarre audio compression artifacts less likely
I reckon you're right, unless there was some additional audio equipement or network processing on Trump's side. But I think you're right that, at the very least, it wasn't something being done by the Twitter back-end.
Photos of him doing the interview show him just using a phone which wouldn't support the idea of their being extra audio equipment
