The wiki has a lot of good info. The wiki also has a lot of vague, conflicting info. Because of this, when in doubt, I look at what other people are doing and follow their example. Use tag info to figure that out. For example,
signal
is by far the most used value fortraffic_signal=*
(sauce), so yes, just use that.
