“BD” refers to Franco-Belgian comics, but let's open things up to include ALL Euro comics and GN's. Euro-style work from around the world is also welcome!

* BD = "Bandes dessinées"
* BDT = Bedetheque
* GN = graphic novel
* LBK = Lambiek
* LC = "Ligne claire"

Girl: Arms up, coyote! Keep your hands well away from your hardware!

Jolly Jumper: Here we go again...

Lucky Luke: Tsk, tsk. Little girl, it's not safe to play with your daddy's rifle...

(sound): *BLAM!*

Girl: One more word about my daddy and you get the next volley of lead where it counts!

This will be published by Dargaud, and is created by the singular Blutch, a huge talent and one of the main innovators in BD, it says here.

Thanks to Jérôme Lachasse's Mastodon 'tweet' [here] for the news!

I see your post is hosted on imgur, but it loads on lemmy without any adult filter. However I just created a post in imgur, posted it here and it is filtered as adult content (which is not the case).

I think I may have done something wrong somewhere. How exactly you posted in imgur and then on lemmy in a such a way that the content is not incorrectly filtered as adult? Thanks in advance!

Um, what was your post about? Your reading stack, or something else..?

@Cabeza2000@lemmy.world / @Cabeza2000@lemm.ee, late reply here, but I don't think you did anything wrong.

I uploaded an image just now (https://i.imgur.com/LD4wMDQ.jpeg) and for some reason Imgur marked it as "NSFW." What's more, I seem to recall that happening to me once before in the past.

I guess what's happening is that Imgur's security algorithms aren't very smart at this point, and are creating 'false flags.' The good news is that one can still post and share such images, with no harm done.

I've actually had Imgur content removed before (it was samples from Joan Cornellà's work), not because it was "NSFW," but probably because somebody complained about it. The original post is below, FYI:

Thanks for the info. In any case it seems that uploading to Lemmy.world is working fine again so I am not planning to use Imgur again any time soon.
