In Candyman, the scene where Tony Todd had bees flying out of his mouth were REAL BEES. Todd only agreed to do the scene if they pay him $1000 for every bee sting. He earned $27,000 for that scene (files.catbox.moe)

Having a full stop between thousands is just as stupid. It's completely arbitrary. It's only unfortunate that it's yet another difference hindering communication (and numbers parsing, dammit)
