Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!
Rules:
- Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.
Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.
Example:
- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
- No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.
That's all the rules!

Sorry bud, but that was less a shoutout, and more like pointing at someone or something that can cause harm and calling it out to others as a warning.
It was a shoutout and I take it as a compliment. Thanks!
Oh, well, if we’re playing the game where other people get to decide what your intent was, then it’s only fair for me to say you’re a dishonest troll who never engages in good faith and has harmful motivations.
And before you report me for calling you a troll, you’re the one who decided to take my statement of intent, ignore it, and state I was saying the exact opposite. If we don’t get to be the authority on your motivations and intent, you don’t get to do that to others.
I'm not playing any games with you, I'm not a troll, and I don't have to explain anything to you. Thanks!
No one has ever demanded you explain anything to them here. They may have asked, but your frankly ridiculous comment count is totally the result of you either offering explanations that don’t ring true, or copy/pasting ad nauseum replies to things that have not been posed to you.
And so yes, by definition, you are playing games. (i.e. denying you have been trolling and were moderated for it in just the last few days) You can try and explain that away, but it doesn’t change the facts about your behavior.
Not playing games. Not trolling. And also it's against the rules to call someone a troll anyway.
You declined to mention that a comment chain between me and other person was removed for trolling. I'm totally fine with mods removing comments that they feel went too far. Their community, their rules, and I respect that and them. The mod log is totally public and I'm fine with it:
I didn’t decline to mention anything - the comments are moderated independently of each other, and it just so happened they decided both of you were trolling. Try and take responsibility for your behavior at the very least.
They looked at the entire discussion. As they are free to do. Those comments were in response to each other, they weren't removed without context.
I don't have to explain anything else to you. You're free to believe what you want. What you think about it has no impression on me. I'll continue to post what I want, when I want. Thank you! :)
You do love arguing things that aren’t even being discussed. They were removed for “trolling”. That means you were trolling, not some abstract higher order conversation. Just like the other recent violations for rule 4 and civility. This is not up for interpretation, it is fact that you were found to be doing these things.
Again, you shirk responsibility at every chance.
And I never said anything different. If the mods feel that counts, then I respect their right to remove the comments. And calling me a troll is against the rules and that can be removed too. :)
You are a person who has had comments removed specifically for trolling. Pointing that out is not against the rules, thanks bud!
Of course not. I totally support the mods to mod the community how they wish. And I'm still here because I haven't been banned for trolling. The modlog is public.
*yet
But since I'm not trolling, I shouldn't get banned for trolling. No matter how much you would like that. Thank you!
