Sounds like he wants more child labor and thinks little of workers in general

“When we say Donald Trump is a scab, this is what we mean,” UAW President Shawn Fain said in a press release. “When we say Trump stands against everything our union stands for, this is what we mean.”

C'mon, that's a hella reach. Trump's saying automobile manufacture is so easy an idiot could do it.

saying they ship parts stateside that merely require American workers to “take them out of a box” and assemble.

That's it. Insulting and ignorant, in the extreme, but this isn't some dog-whistle to normalize child labor.

Much to be said about him being so senile and out-of-touch that he alienates all factory workers. Yikes.

I'd agree with you... except Sarah Hucka Sands has been aggressively rolling back protections for child workers in her state.

It'd be just an idiom if not for them literally doing it.

Its part of it. MAGAts can only speak dog whistle. They're solution to the consequences of the Great Deportation is to have poor children fill the gap.
