Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

“We see it now: The hate has shifted to the trans community,” Walz said. “They see that as an opportunity. If you’re watching any sporting events right now, you see that Donald Trump’s closing arguments are to demonize a group of people for being who they are.”

“We’re out there trying to make the case that access to healthcare, a clean environment, manufacturing jobs, and keeping your local hospital open are what people are really concerned about,” he continued. “They’re running millions of dollars of ads demonizing folks who are just trying to live their lives.”

Really? You think Democrats are a greater threat than the ones promising to take all trans rights away and put trans people in conversion camps because you've decided that Democrats are only pretending to care?

[–] anticolonialist@lemmy.world -3 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (1 children)

History has shown us time and again their inaction allows Republicans laws to take hold. Dems haven't done shit in the face of the GOP passing over 500 anti trans laws. Dems are the greater threat because trans believe they have an ally in the person about to stab them in the back

You seem to think that everyone who is cis is against you.

That's simply not true.

[–] anticolonialist@lemmy.world -3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I'm talking about politicians, not people in general.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Even then, you seem to think that every cis politician is against you, which is also simply not true.

[–] anticolonialist@lemmy.world -3 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (1 children)

Not true, this isn't about cis anything it's about lip service that's also getting people killed.

And why exactly would I assume cis people hate me when I'm cis myself?

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I thought this was about who was an ally to trans people and who wasn't?

So why are you assuming that all Democrat politicians, or even just specifically Tim Walz doesn't actually care about trans people? Where's your evidence? Is this just what your gut brain tells you?

[–] anticolonialist@lemmy.world -3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

He will turn into another federal lip service democrat. Democrats are as much an ally as Republicans. Right wing war criminals got more airtime at the convention than any marginalized groups.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago

In other words, this is what your gut brain is telling you and you have no evidence. Thank you for confirming that.
