Isn’t that why you have training, and a manager to ensure proper steps are being taken?
My manager took her job seriously, and if she came around and noticed you:
A) weren’t wearing gloves B) weren’t keeping to the guidelines by changing gloves at the allotted time C) ESPECIALLY not washing your hands
You’d get a verbal warning, write up for subsequent violations, and then fired for not being able to properly follow these simple guidelines.
I don’t want your bare hands touching my food. Period.
A hospital should be even more strict about these simple guidelines. Seeing you so vehemently against something as simple as gloves on top of washing your hands, makes me so glad I cook at home. Keep on, I guess. Who cares anymore, am I right?
I don't understand how you don't get it...
Gloves aren't a sign of cleanliness or hygiene and people using their clean hands is much better than people wearing gloves and not cleaning often enough because they don't realize their gloves are dirty. It's that simple. It's even you see cooks wearing gloves that you should be worried.
See, from the get go that makes zero sense! Cleaning isn't based on time, it's based on what you manipulated!
I really hope you're not still in a kitchen.
I feel so bad for those hospital patients, and the staff, that have to eat whatever germ ridden food this person is handling.
