Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

I understand you are scared right now, and there's probably no talking you off that ledge. Seek the goods things in your life right now. Surround yourself with the ones you love. It's hard to process, but breathe. I promise you'll be ok.

Edit:

Just wanted to add this moment of realization from a CBS news personality.

He was talking about how people shouldn't be afraid, that America is the oldest democracy on earth, that democracy wil survive, and things will be OK...

... And he continued on talking about how trump likely has full control of the government, the house, the senate, the courts, and an immunity ruling.

After the last words came out of his mouth he looked at the camera and paused and said, (paraphrasing) ** " I'd like to maybe take back the first part of what I said, we should be afraid" **

I promise you he will order shootings on 5th avenue.

If you think I, we, us, anyone will be OK, like the half of the nation that elected him, you haven't been listening.

People voted for an economy and against scary immigrants.

They also get the storm, the purge, the accelerationists, the camps, the executions, the prisons, smothered hope for the last possibility of saving this earth from environmental collapse.

They literally want Armageddon.

I mean actually fucking literally.

Once you learn how many in the Republican party, and supreme court, are members of NAR and 7MM - literally groups with the purpose of bringing Jesus back.

Nobody is going to be OK .

Welp, here's hoping they succeed on that Jesus front so we can see the end credits.

For the more realistic of us this just means things go further to shit.

I've grown to despise religion.

I was raised roman Catholic.

I have had nightmares of mushroom clouds since I was a child.

Revelation 8:7

The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

This is what the people of NAR/end days cults want.

Trumps spiritual adviser in the white house was NAR.

She was quoted as saying trump will be instrument in ushering in Armageddon.

Actual words from an actual person in an actual group who are actually, actively, trying to end the world.

And, if you want go ruin your day even more, read about Putin/dugin and their concept of the noosphere.

Dugin is Putin's spiritual/occult/geopolitical strategist (author of foundations of geopolitics)

Edit:

Here's dugin"s substack (lol)

https://alexanderdugin.substack.com/p/in-the-united-states-three-completely

One of the ideologues of Trumpism, Curtis Yarvin, has declared that it's time to establish a monarchy in the United States. If Republicans gain a majority in both houses, what could stop them?

Here's this lovely statement about ending the world:

The end times and the eschatological meaning of politics will not realise themselves on their own. We will wait for the end in vain. The end will never come if we wait for it, and it will never come if we do not. This is essential because history, time, and reality have special strategies to avoid Judgment Day, or rather, they have a special strategy of a reversionary manoeuvre that will create the impression that everyone has come to a realisation and an understanding. This is the huge arsenal of Heidegger’s noch nicht, or eternal ‘not yet…’ If the Fourth Political Practice is not able to realise the end of times, then it would be invalid. The end of days should come; but it will not come by itself. This is a task, it is not a certainty. It is active metaphysics. It is a practice.
