My front yard is all sun.
My backyard is a a shaded oasis. I have a few trees, lots of vining plants, and tall shrubs and other native species.
The differrnce between the two on a hot day can be 30°F
And the humidity level drops....precipitously.

This has been the assumption for some time now.
Body thinks it get sugar. Body produces enzymes, hormones, chemicals, etc to process sugar. No sugar or calories to metabolize. Body hungry.
When the (Venezuelan) oil is stolen and the wars are paid for by the taxpayers, everything is profit.
Eight hours for work, eight hours for rest, eight hours for what we will.

Do not fuck with the unions.
They will bury their own leaders in concrete if they turn on them.
The world needs amother may day.
Not sure if you're just too young to remember the height of the "war on drugs", but this is nothing compared to the sentences people got for a few joints back in the day.
A $31 pot sale got her a stunning 12-year prison sentence. In the two years she has been incarcerated, she has seen her children only twice.
Paralyzed from the neck down after being hit by a drunk driver at the age of four, Magpie was charged with marijuana possession in 2004 after cops found a joint and a loaded gun in a vehicle in which he was the passenger. Though he had never been convicted of a criminal offense and required medical assistance 20 hours a day, he was given a 10-day sentence in a DC jail. With no ventilator to sustain his breathing, he died in jail four days later.
) In 1992, Mark Young received a life sentence for playing the role of middleman in a large pot sale. That same year, Larry Jackson, a man with a long rap sheet of small-time, nonviolent offenses, received a life sentence for a minuscule amount of pot — 1/100th of a gram — and a tiny bit of cocaine.

And then there was that era when 3 strikes laws that sent people to prison for LIFE for things as minor as stealing a pack of gum.
There is no justice in America. Only private prisons, profits, and vengeance.

Their stats combine ALL versions of chrome (chromium) which would also include things like cromite, degoogled chrome, cromium itself, possibly vivaldi, apps that use webview (doordash, voyager for lemmy, bank apps, etc) might even be included as they are chrome/chromium on android, would all tally for chrome with no differentiation even though some versions are light years apart.

This actually is a great canadian made film. I remember still watching it when it came out. Renting it from blockbuster.
Not your average armageddon flick.
Subtle, slow burn, gloriously quirky and depressing, with wit to spare.
It's more a character study than end of world piece. It's the people in this film that matter.
The rooftop scene still plays in my head, sometimes, after all these years.
Mckellar was once everywhere in Canadian media, from tv to film, in front of the camera and behind the scenes. Brilliant creator.
And the cast ... Just legendary.
A FOUR YEAR INVESTIGATION.
Was justice served in any just way?
Were the millions of $ and thousands of hours worth it?
Who authorized the absurd use of taxpayer money that could otherwise been used to stop real criminals and real crimes affecting real people?
If this guy made a million on these CDs, only a grand would have gone to any artist.
Justice is not blind, it is being fucked by corporations.
Not sure if intended, but the selected frame is spot on.

It's sad that the killing of children and other innocents to distract from the Epstein files results in the price of gas being the main concern for the average American.

My point, i guess i was trying to get at, is that the difference between concrete jungles and natural greenspaces is obvious even in this microcosm of my own.
I am surrounded by asphalt and concrete and highways.
I rent. And convinced the landlord to let me make the green space more natural.
I know I'm an outlier and fortunate. So i do whatever i can for my fellow creatures and plantlife.
