I mean... not to deny how based this is.

But you could potentially lose your job and by extension, your health insurance (and any dependents that are on your insurance plan also lose coverage).

Also cops are just gonna use that as an excuse to do police brutality.

It's ultimately your decision, but please consider the potential consequences.

Stay safe!

I may not have the guts to wear this, but I would absolutely buy it and have it framed in the entrance to my house or somewhere visible.

It was today top question on r/legal. Is it legal to wear it? It is but YK

I’m British, there’s a decent chance some bootlicker might slap me, but I could wear this all day.

In the South of the US if you try to slap someone for wearing this shirt you’re gonna get shot

[–] SouthEndSunset@lemm.ee 1 points 2 weeks ago

lol. I’m just speaking for myself…

Oh buddy like they need this excuse, don't you know little Jimmy failed his math test and the wife won't quit nagging?

As a non-USian I’m intrigued about your police brutality comment… do they all have job health insurance that pays out every time or is it possible that some of them (or family members) have been shafted by insurance? Forgive my ignorance, but I am foreign.

[–] Dupree878@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

Most of them have job provided healthcare, and any injury from work is covered

But the kinds of people who become cops are small dick assholes who want any excuse to flex their false sense of authority

[–] muntedcrocodile@lemm.ee 2 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Its free speach the government cant leggaly do shit about it. Well unless they claim its encouraging violence but u would need a court to answer that question.

Oh its legal.

But your employer could also legally fire you.

Especially if your employer is a big corporation with a CEO that doesn't like people like them being shot.

Only the rich, who do not rely on stable employment for food and shelter, have true freedom of speech.

[–] Dupree878@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

And this is such a bullshit misnomer. Encouraging violence is covered by the first amendment. Direct threats are not. The government has overstepped and that’s why I want legislators to suffer the same fate as CEOs

[–] muntedcrocodile@lemm.ee 1 points 2 weeks ago

Really didnt know that. Ive been institutionalised by the aussie nanny state and have forgotten what real freedom is.
