We're just looking at it thusly: If a community can make ad hoc janky tools to emulate a console, why can't the platform holder do it? The answer as usual is money. Nintendo could release a wealth of gamecube games with minimal effort, especially with their 1st party library that can eschew music licensing and so on. But no, 3 games, we don't want the scrubs to play windwaker instead of purchasing the V3 of BoTW... So, pardon me if I don't consider this something to be excited for when it ostensibly is being purposefully trickled down.
If they would add an easy back compat on release to the full library of GC cames I'd buy the S2 day one. As is, I'll keep emulating on the deck and sailing the high seas.
