I thought so too, but from what I understand CSIS doesn't do boots on the ground type work (overseas), and mainly just gathers data. (Wildbus's comment below claims they do still harass canadians here at home though)

Sounds more the case that while we do HAVE an intelligence service, they are underfunded and restricted in their abilities do do as much as they may need to.

That is absolutely not true. You can ask any numbers of left wing and indigenous organizers and their families and friends, who've received CSIS visits at their homes.

Interesting. I meant "boots on the ground" overseas in the context of foreign intelligence as per the article.

Doesn't surprise me that of course they have to stick their noses into other peoples business at the bequest of the conservatives.
