I mean, that would be the case whether it was online-only or not; it's a free-to-play game

They should have an option to pay for a single player, offline experience. I'd buy that if it worked on my Steam Deck.

Yeah, they mention it obliquely at the end, but it really should be more obviously stated. Presumably they assume anyone reading the article is already familiar with the game
