My dad was never around growing up, and when he was he was a shell of a person thanks to PTSD.
Disney movies absolutely fill that void, for both parents. Their movies always have good moral lessons for kids (and adults) to learn from.
When people attack Disney for things, it always just comes off as pious and looking for a fight. Sure, they're a big company, but they still are one of the few companies that actually tries to do some good and let people experience some magic once in a while.
