Because Miami believes strongly in their culture, believes strongly in Team before Individual, and believes in their roster. Harden is an awesome player, but tough to add someone like him mere days before a season. Throws a lot of your plans to the ground as a team and you're starting from scratch.
Miami is comfortable with what they have. The Clippers are comfortable with what they have. The Sixers are not desperate to move James Harden at all. They'd have further dropped their price if they were....they're only entertaining moving him because they've been backed into a corner slightly, not because they're looking to jettison him. The Sixers know their title changes hinge on Harden being healthy, productive, and on the floor.
